SUNDAY EVENING SWIM CLINICS

23 JULY 2021- CURRENTLY NOT IN EFFECT DUE TO STATE OF MARYLAND REMOVAL OF RESTRICTIONS. UNDER REVIEW FOR 2021-22 SEASON

MAINTAINING AN ENVIRONMENT OF HEIGHTEND SAFTEY DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS TO HELP REDUCE THE RISK OF TRANSMISSION IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE. ALL PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES:

  • Parents are required to take athlete’s temperature prior to coming to practice. Any participant experiencing a fever of 100.4 F or higher or symptoms of a recent cough, unusual fatigue, headache or has been exposed to someone who has any symptoms, or Covid-19 should remain home and seek medical treatment and follow CDC guidelines.
  • Staff will do a self symptom check and take their temperature each day before work. Staff will wear face coverings when interacting with participants.
  • There will be one-way entrance and one-way exit into the facility grounds, swimmers should wear a face covering upon arrival, during departure and at times when they are out of the water and can not maintain social distancing.
  • Participants must arrive on time and leave each swim session in their swimsuit under their clothing. Participants will not be allowed to change or shower in the locker rooms. No use of locker rooms except for the restroom in case emergencies (no more than on person at a time).
  • Bring your own, properly labeled, already filled, water bottle and equipment (if needed).
  • Only one parent/spectator may accompany their child to the clinic. Depending on the capacity of the facility we may ask that they remain outside the fence and stay at least 6 feet apart at a safe distance from one another.
  • The number of participants at the clinic is limited compared to our traditional clinics. Coaches and participants will work with each other to maintain social distancing throughout the clinic.
  • Should a coach feel that anyone is not adhering to social distancing guidelines, they may be asked to sit out.
  • If any participant of staff has a fever or symptoms of illnesses, they may not attend the clinic until 14 days after the fever or other symptoms has ceased. Participants must see a physician and be cleared for clinic participation after being diagnosed or suspected of having COVID-19.
  • Should a participant or staff member test positive for Covid-19 they should notify MSTC and notification guidelines will be followed.
  • For all of us to stay healthy, we encourage our participants and staff to please practice responsible social distancing per the CDC guidelines when they are away from the pool.
